A CUBAN TWIST AT ASIA DE CUBA
For a Shrove Tuesday with a difference, Asia de Cuba are serving a Pancake Soufflé. Oozing a delicious rum and coconut filling and topped with a rich hot chocolate sauce, the dessert is priced at £8. A perfect guarantee for a flippin’ good time. Available on 13th Feb.
PANCAKES ABROAD AT MASQUE
At wilderness-to-table restaurant Masque, opened in Mumbai in September 2016, ingredients take centre stage. Head Chef Prateek Sadhu and co-owner Aditi Dugar have travelled the length and breadth of the country exploring a different rural India to bring to focus the lost ingredients of the Himalayan belt. Should you find yourself abroad on Shrove Tuesday, Masque’s fennel pancake topped with lobster, Kashmiri pickles, and pea shoots dressed in balsamic will help to satisfy crepe cravings.

FRENCH ROOTS AT BLANCHETTE
To celebrate Shrove Tuesday, Chef Director Tam Storrar will be whipping up fluffy crêpes and galettes in classics flavours and with Blanchette twists. Both Blanchette Soho and Blanchette Brick Lane will be serving up specials all day from their bar counter crepe stations, to eat in or take away.
Pancake fans will recognise the traditional Bayonne ham, gruyere cheese and egg which will feature on the menu alongside Crispy confit duck with braised cabbage and juniper or Goat’s cheese with sundried tomato, rocket and pistou. For those with a sweet tooth there will also be a selection of Blanchette inspired dessert crepes, including Chocolate sauce with hazelnut praline and beurre noisette ice cream and the classic Crêpes Suzette. Blanchette Brick Lane will also be dropping in at their neighbours, St Matthias School, to treat the children to free crêpes. Please visit Blanchette Brick Lane or Blanchette Soho for further information.
